Creative Steps: Self-Development & Professional Growth Funded by the Arts Council of Wales
I was selected to receive funding through the Creative Steps programme by the Arts Council of Wales, a self-development initiative designed to support artists from diverse backgrounds. This opportunity marked a significant milestone in my creative journey.
In 2024, I successfully completed my Creative Steps self-development project, which included mentorship that helped me explore new directions in my practice. One of the key outcomes of this phase was building my professional website portfolio, which was an important step towards sharing my work more widely. With the guidance of my mentors, I began to view creative and professional challenges as opportunities for growth. This shift in mindset proved to be truly transformative. The experience not only clarified my artistic voice but also helped me reframe my approach to work and my role as an artist.
After successfully completing this phase, I was awarded a second round of Creative Steps funding to continue my professional development. This next stage focuses on advancing my animation and illustration practice while building the skills and confidence needed to approach organizations, expand my professional network, and better understand how to position and present my work publicly.

Camau Creadigol: Hunanddatblygiad a Thwf Proffesiynol Ariannwyd gan Gyngor Celfyddydau Cymru
Cefais fy newis i dderbyn cyllid drwy raglen Camau Creadigol Cyngor Celfyddydau Cymru, menter yn canolbwyntio ar hunanddatblygiad ac wedi’i dylunio i gefnogi artistiaid o gefndiroedd amrywiol. Roedd y cyfle hwn yn garreg filltir arwyddocaol yn fy nhaith greadigol.
Yn 2024, cwblheais fy mhrosiect hunanddatblygiad gyda Camau Creadigol, a oedd yn cynnwys cynllun mentora a helpodd fi i archwilio cyfeiriadau newydd yn fy ymarfer. Un o brif ganlyniadau’r cyfnod hwn oedd datblygu fy mhortffolio proffesiynol drwy fy ngwefan, a oedd yn gam pwysig tuag at rannu fy ngwaith yn ehangach. Gyda chymorth fy mentoriaid, dechreuais ystyried bod heriau creadigol a phroffesiynol yn gyfleoedd i dyfu. Bu’r newid hwn yn fy meddylfryd yn wirioneddol drawsnewidiol. Roedd y profiad yn un a ddaeth ag eglurder i fy llais artistig, ac fe helpodd fi hefyd i ailfframio fy ffordd o weithio a fy rôl fel artist.
Ar ôl cwblhau’r cam hwn yn llwyddiannus, cefais gyllid drwy ail rownd Camau Creadigol er mwyn parhau â fy natblygiad proffesiynol. Mae’r cam nesaf hwn yn canolbwyntio ar ddatblygu fy ymarfer animeiddio a darlunio ar yr un pryd â meithrin y sgiliau a’r hyder y mae eu hangen i wneud cysylltiad â sefydliadau, ehangu fy rhwydwaith proffesiynol, a deall yn well sut i leoli a chyflwyno fy ngwaith yn gyhoeddus.
